Working with conversation_message_id

Parameter conversation_message_id allows the bot to interact with messages without the use of a common message identifier, which may be missing in some cases.

Using the method messages.getByConversationMessageId You can get information about the report on conversation_message_id . The bot must have access to correspondence.

The bot has access to:

  Messages in personal dialogue with the bot.

  The bot's outgoing message.

  Messages sent after the bot gained access to the correspondence. Access is granted if:

In some methods, the parameter conversation_message_id called cmid .

Editing

Use the method to edit the message messages.edit . In the parameter conversation_message_id Pass the message ID.

The required message identifier can be obtained in advance using the method messages.send with parameter peer_ids and API version not lower than 5.124.

Removing

To delete a message, call the method messages.delete with parameters peer_id , cmids and delete_for_all .
